SUMMARY:

As a member of the Publications team for the second year of CONsole Room, THE Twin Cities’ Doctor Who Convention, I created three new images in three different styles, a program book, and an array of badges for all attendees and guests of the convention.

The shirt was designed in the style of a “costume shirt” but modified to incorporate nodes to the convention: a Minneapolis skyline pin, the date of the convention on the shirt lapels, and a pocketwtch featuring the CONsole Room logo. The design was screen printed in six colors on white shirts that ranged in adult sizes from S-5X. I used halftones to give the appearance of a larger array of colors.

The 5.5″ x 8.5″ program book, filled with 36 pages of helpful materials to help attendees navigate the convention such as the daily schedule and information about the guests. The cover featured a digital painting I created of the four Guests of Honour for the convention, with the Minneapolis skyline serving as a backdrop. Printed with color cover and black and white interior.

To help with advertistements for the volunteering team, I created a black and white line drawing nodding back to the iconic Uncle Sam World War I recruitment poster. The badges were single-sided 3.5″ x 6″ images with multiple variations made for every need. Badges were also color-coded to make them easier to spot from a distance.
