Meet Amber

Hello! My name is Amber Raden (she/her) and I am a multidisciplinary storyteller based out of Bloomington, MN working in a mix of traditional and digital mediums. I hold Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Art and currently split my time between corporate culture and engagement work, freelance work, and my own independent work as an artist, writer, and designer. My current preferred tools are Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, my trusty Wacom tablet, charcoal, acrylic paints, and the almighty pen.

When I’m not creating stories in my professional life, I am an avid convention-goer and have volunteered in various convention committee roles for local conventions for the past decade. I’m also a cosplayer, newbie gardener, and host to a serious travel bug that I couldn’t shake even if I wanted to. A special shout out to my husband who has been with me every step of these crazy adventures and to my three adorable fur balls who think that art is never complete without a helpful paw. (What can I say, they’re too cute to say no.)

MY PHILOSOPHY

I believe everyone and everything has a story to tell. Whether I’m working on a corporate event, a charcoal illustration, or a store’s window display, my goal is to bring you on a journey, then create space for you to create your own adventure. I am particularly passionate about layered storytelling and immersive expereinces, especially with an emphasis on magic, myth, and nature, that share more and more about their stories the longer you spend with them.

WHY RADEN STUDIOS?

Raden Studios is a studio of one (just me!) that embraces a multitude of art forms when embarking on the storytelling process. Combining all of these under a single “studio” roof allows me to share those stories with all of you under a connected umbrella that grows and changes as my own story does.
